The history of Claverie began ... in Africa! In Benin, more accurately, a small country on the Gulf of Guinea. Marie and Philippe have traveled several times throughout this country wide.
They are forged strong friendships. Year after year, the desire to return becoming ever more urgent.
They decided to change his life, to leave the capital and to find an activity that gives them the freedom to join their Beninese friends a little more often ... Mary was a teacher, biology teacher, Philip was a journalist and writer.
The idea came fairly quickly: "Opening a guest house". They Claverie inaugurated in 2006 with the desire to create a place where their guests feel comfortable, feel at home. With the idea, too, to offer a warm table where you can enjoy, unpretentious, original cuisine, using local products, fish, melons, shells, good vegetables, fruit garden ...
Today, Claverie found its stride: Marie handles the large garden decor, rooms, and Philippe is in the kitchen. Between the courses "photos" and stays of discovery of birds in spring, the regulars who return every summer, newcomers need pampering, the Claverie has become a real place of life, exchanges, discussions, sometimes even very late ... with a glass of good wine!
